The André-Martin award, created jointly by Francis Gavelle, CITIA and AFCA, was created in tribute to André Martin, famous film critic who initiated the term "animation film". He was a fervent defender of animation and participated to the creation of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The André-Martin award will be given during the Special Awards ceremony on June 18.
